Speaking about Covid in an interview that aired on CBS' "60 Minutes" on Sunday night, President Joe Biden declared that "the pandemic is finished."
The president told Scott Pelley last week at the Detroit Auto Show that "the pandemic is over."
Despite Biden's assertion, Covid has persisted in taking a toll both domestically and internationally.
Several of his own health officials were taken aback by Biden's claim on Sunday night that the pandemic is gone.
Biden made it apparent later in the conversation that he didn't take the pandemic's overall impacts lightly.
The pandemic has had a "deep impact on the mentality of the American people," he claimed.
