Accidental fentanyl overdose was the reason for country star Luke Bell's demise.
Bell had arteriosclerotic cardiovascular disease, according to the study, at the time of his death.
The singer of "Where Ya Been?" was discovered dead in Tucson, Arizona, on August 26, over a week after he had gone missing. He was 32.
Bell has performed on tour with several legendary country musicians, including Dwight Yoakam, Hank Williams Jr., and Willie Nelson.
Bell's family also provided E! News with a statement in which they expressed their "heartbreak" at the incident and thanked Bell's friends and followers for their encouragement.
Beloved sole solace comes from the knowledge that our Luke is now free and at peace, the statement continued.
