According to the station, a murder-suicide attempt at the home of a Detroit radio news presenter resulted in his death.
Around noon on Friday, Jim Matthews, 57, was discovered dead at his Bayview Drive home in Chesterfield Township.
His two children were at home with three other victims, all of whom have been taken to the hospital.
According to police, a 35-year-old lady who fled the house with her 5-year-old kid waved down a passing car and dialed 911.
The youngster was hospitalized in serious condition and was suffering from blunt force injuries, Township Public Safety Director Brian Bassett stated during a news conference.
