His lawyer, Nicholas Gravante, said in a statement Thursday that West was left with "no choice but to discontinue their relationship" since the company, among other things, failed to build branded Yeezy stores and distribute his goods as anticipated.
In recent months, the relationship has deteriorated. West, also known as Ye, chastised Gap for not paying attention to him. "You have to actually give me the position to be Ye and let me do what I'm thinking, or I have to think someplace else," he stated in a now-deleted Instagram post, according to the Journal.
