LA Woman With Skull-Less Fetus travels 2250 km for abortion

A mother-of-three who has found herself at the centre of America's assault on abortion rights has spoken out against politicians who are disregarding the toll on women, warning that many more lives would be jeopardised.

After being denied the treatment in her native state of Louisiana, Nancy Davis was forced to fly 1,400 miles to New York earlier this month to undergo an abortion for a baby with no skull and little prospect of life.

She told The Independent on Thursday about her struggle and expressed her displeasure that those proposing abortion restrictions are unaware of what they are doing to women like her.
