As a result of hackers targeting a school app with 10 million users, including instructors, students, and family members, parents in the US have reported getting a notoriously obscene photograph.
There were numerous reports of the image being emailed from compromised accounts on the Seesaw app from schools and teachers.
A link to a "inappropriate image" was shared, according to Seesaw, which then took steps to put a stop to the problem.
In a statement, Seesaw refuted claims that hackers had acquired administrative access and claimed that just a few "isolated" accounts had been compromised.
Parents were advised not to place responsibility on individuals who looked to have sent the message, according to the principal of one Milwaukee school.
To avoid clicking on links that have been masked by the link shortening site bit.ly, many schools have distributed warnings.
