Steven Spielberg Wins Toronto Film Festival Audience Award

At the Toronto Film Festival on Sunday, Steven Spielberg's The Fabelmans won the top People's Choice award.

The largest North American film festival, concluded its 47th edition on Sunday, marking its first significant gathering in three years.

Spielberg's most recent movie won TIFF's top audience prize, which is frequently a predictor of upcoming Academy Award nominations.

The Fabelmans, co-written with Tony Kushner, is the Oscar winner's maiden film appearance at the Toronto Film Festival.

The childhood memoir will be made available via Universal on November 11.

The Fabelmans, Spielberg's memory-infused picture about his youth, was the most anticipated film entering the festival this year.
